Who is wise and knowing among you? Let him show his works by his good behavior, in meekness of wisdom.
But the wisdom from above is firstly truly pure, then peaceable, forbearing, yielding, full of mercy and of good fruits, not partial and not pretended. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for the ones making peace.
James 3:13, 17, 18

"Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass." Psalm 37:5

With life as hectic as it is we find ourselves committing to many things all at one time. We are committed to taking the kids where they need to go, committed to finishing the project at work. While we find ourselves being superman and superwoman trying to keep all of our commitments, we find ourselves with less and less time committed to the Lord. All of our other commitments we garner us accolades from people, but when we are committed to the Lord, we will be blessed. The Scripture reminds us we must commit our way unto the Lord and trust in Him and He shall bring it to pass. I encourage you today to make sure you are committed to the Lord, and the things He would have you to do. People may want you to commit to this that and the other thing, but when you are committed to the Lord, He will see you through everything. Trust the Lord to be with you when storms rise, and when things get tough. Trust the Lord to do what He said He would do in your life. Trust God to pick you up when you fall, and to bring you out when you are going through. It may seem like the Lord is taking a long time, but know He will come through in His time. Trust the Lord with everything, and remember He knows everything. When you can trust the Lord and commit to Him He will bring it to pass. Whatever your IT is, the Lord will bring it to pass. I am raising my level of commitment to the Lord, and trusting Him with every area of my life.

"Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.
" Psalm 90:1

Each of us who have a place to live takes pride in our homes. It does not make a difference if it is a room, apartment or a house if it is our place to live we take care of it. We also feel safe and protected in our places of abode because we know where we are, and feel safe. Spiritually we should have the same feeling when we come before the Lord. The Scripture reminds us the Lord has been and is our dwelling place in all generations. I encourage you today to always be mindful you have a place of abode which is there for you and will protect you from all the storms you go through in life. The Lord is your dwelling place, and since the Lord is your dwelling place when you run to Him you will find rest. Not only will you find rest, but you will find peace from the chaos you faced during the day. You will find joy even in the midst of sorrow when you know the Lord is your dwelling place. Just like your home has a key to unlock the door, the way you unlock the door to enter into the dwelling place of the Lord is with prayer. You enter in the dwelling place of the Lord with worship and praise, and when you get in, you will find rest, joy and peace. As you go throughout this day and people tend to get on your nerves, find your dwelling place in the Lord. When storms of life come your way, find your dwelling place in the Lord and He will protect you from all storms. I thank God I have a dwelling place in the Lord.
